Michelle and Rocky planned their Florida destination wedding all the way from Texas. They chose the Grand Plaza on St. Pete Beach for its gorgeous views, white sands and fun atmosphere. I love working with destination wedding couples!! Talking and texting and video chatting with the couple made it feel like I knew them and we were old friends. When I met them for the first time on their wedding day it was effortless to take their photos. Their love is honestly so amazing and when you’re with them it surrounds you like a snuggly blanket.
They planned for a beachy vibe with a few mermaid touches, Michelle is pretty much the little mermaid come to life. Gorgeous, sweet and fun. I love the “mermosas” as their signature drink and the touches of sea shells throughout the day.
Michelle got ready in the “glamour room” at the Grand Plaza. I love this space with its tall mirrors, makeup tables and comfy furniture. Music was filling the air and Michelle, aka the happiest bride ever, was dancing and singing the morning through. I can’t say enough about how wonderfully blissful Michelle is to be around. She’s simply happy and beaming and she spreads that vibe to everyone. Also, I definitely have to give a shout out to the bridesmaids because these ladies were sweet, fun and just all around fabulous.
Rocky stayed upstairs with his pack of groomsmen which included his sons and daughter. All the laughs and all the love with this group was unscripted and genuine. That’s my favorite thing…unscripted joyfulness! Rocky patiently waited to see his bride all morning but you could tell he couldn’t wait for the moment to come. His love for Michelle is off the charts.
A sweet first look and some couples photos before the wedding. I absolutely adore first looks because the intimacy and chemistry just happen so beautifully when the bride and groom get a minute to take each other in uninterrupted or rushed.
The ceremony and formal photos were out on the sands of St. Pete Beach where the wind was blowing, the sun peeked through just a little and bubbles filled the air. Rocky and Michelle had a heartwarming prayer box that held their rings and was passed throughout the guests to be prayed over before they said their vows. This was such a touching way to include guests into the ceremony and celebrate their faith through prayer on their wedding day.
Off to the reception where the first dances were romantic and meaningful and the fun after was non-stop. Dancing and celebrating was at the top of everyone’s list. Let me tell you…Michelle is a dancer and she kept the moves coming all day long.
Congratulations to the DeStefano’s. Wishing you a lifetime of bliss and happiness!
